Description:
A monumental Charlotte Rhead Charger (5803) for Crown Ducal circa 1930's. Circular, on a shallow foot for use as a decorative charger, the foot also perforated for wall hanging. Tube lined decoration of flowers and foliage in predominantly pink and green satin-lustre with a blue centre and border, against a pink/grey ground. This is the large (enormous) 17.5" (44 cm) size. A truly impressive piece of art-deco style pottery.

Condition:
In excellent condition apart from a curious area of colour loss to the central blue medallion and a slight glaze flaw to the rim, both apparently from the original firing. One or two minor scratches. Otherwise free of chips, crazing, cracks, repairs or restoration.
