This is the only reference that I know of on the market. It is a HUGE USMC Chevron DM Cuff Stryker reference.

There are about 250 pages of information, and on top of that there well over 50 additional pages with pictures of the various types of chevrons, etc.

This is a comprehensive section on the Marine Officer Departmental insignia like Quartermaster, Paymaster, etc. with dates of use, styles, etc.

Very little information is found on this topic.

Lastly, there is an AWESOME section on the Distinguishing Marks, or Cuff Strykers, and their different styles of manufacturer. E.g. Embroidered Green on Khaki, etc. There are over a 100 picture plates, and well more than half have two chevrons pictured. It is also worth mentioning that nine of the plates are very dark. I wish I could convey to you how much information is in this reference. This reference came to me as loose-leaf pages that are 3-hole punched easy to use reference. There are close to 30 pages indicating the various types of Cuff Strykers. It indicates the color of the thread, and the base material. E.g. Gold thread on a navy blue base. More significantly this reference mentions the orders, and dates of authorization. I noticed reference to Cuff Strykers from 1908, 1922, and during WW II. Also, there are roughly 40 pages covering the different types of hashmarks, male and female.
