Being offered on this auction is
beautiful vase made by Lorenz Hutschenreuther, Selb, Bavaria. It is
of famous now German Op-Art line. It is in shape of bottle with square
profile. It is decorated from four sides with engraved ornament of foliage leafs. Surface is rough. Vase
is fully glazed inside. It is all white. Looks splendid. Hutschenreuther
was well known as one of the greatest porcelain figurine makers for about
200 years. Its most famous Lion mark is a symbol of high quality and
artistic design. Hutschenreuther’s art department was established in 1917.
Nowadays, the Lion mark is under umbrella of Rosenthal Group. This vase is
marked on the backside with standard production logo of Art Department used
in c. 1970. We do not know the name of artist, who created this beautiful
object.
Vase measures about 3” and stands 10”
tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. There is
residual of original paper sticker on the backside. This can be washed out
