Being offered on this auction is
beautiful vase made by Porzellanfabrik C. M. Hutschenreuther of Hohenberg,
Bavaria. It is of famous now
German Op-Art line. It has cone shape. Pattern of engraved Surrealist
Cattails decorates its surface from the base. Vase is all white. It is
interior fully glazed. Looks splendid. Famous artist Cuno Fischer (1914 –
1973) designed this vase. He is well known for his successful decors,
bisque vases as well as chess made out of ceramic. Fisher worked for
Rosenthal, from 1961 until 1972. He also designed for several other
manufactures including few impressive vases for Hutshcenreuther. Vase on
this auction is marked on the backside with standard green production mark
used in 1960s. Other marking is form number 135/23 incised on the backside.
Vase measures about 2 ¾” in its
widest diameter and stands 9 ¼” tall. Condition is very good with no cracks
or chips found. There is very insignificant and small scratch on its neck. Vase
