Always have a reminder of the sea with you

Blue wave brooch

This is a nicely designed brooch that will always remind you of the ocean and those lazy days on the beach, even if the British weather is doing it's thing outside.

It's made from alloy metal and the back, pin and backing attachment are gold coloured, but you won't normally see that part when you've pinned this wherever you choose.

The brooch measures approximately 2.4cm across (just under an inch) and about 2cm tall. It's lightweight at around 4 grams.

It's based on the painting "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" which was painted in the early 1800's by the Japanese artist Hokusai (the exact date isn't known but it's generally thought to have been between 1829 and 1833).

The brooch looks cute and the wave - although obviously big - is nowhere near as threatening on a brooch as it would be in real life.

It's a great gift for any ocean lover, surfer dude or anyone who just wants a reminder of life by the ocean.

It's nice to wear on your lapel, on a hat, school bag, pencil case, pocket flap, backpack or anywhere else that needs a splash of colour.

The pin is sturdy enough to be pressed through most materials, being careful you don't press them through yourself of course.
