Artist bio- Italian-born Raffaelo Brigli might be describled as a Renaissance man of today, for his wide-ranging interests encompass science, diplomacy, travel and the arts. Brigli studied architecture and chemical engineering at the University of Naples and worked as an engineer while painting as an advocation. A turning point in his life came when he was introduced to etching and found in this technically demanding medium both the challenge of science was exhibited in Florence, Padua, Naples and other Italian cities, Brigli moved to New York in 1975.

Art description- The three habitats of nature-water, earth and sky- are represented in a work which combines a contemporary simplicity with the best tradition of fine etching. Against broad color areas of sea green, warm earth yellow and deep sky blue, the fancifully detailed, exotically decorative fish, rhinoceros, and peacock are rendered in incredibly delicate etched lines.
