Whilst your phone almost certainly has a stopwatch app, there are times when a "real" stopwatch comes in handy.
It could be as simple as you don't want to hand over your phone to someone else to do the timing for a race or an event. Or it could just be that it's an order of magnitude simpler to press a nice big button than it is to mess around with working out what the app wants you to press next.
Holding a stopwatch in your hand gives you more control and helps you concentrate on the actual timing of the event rather than the bleeps and other distractions that our phones use to get us to stop concentrating on what we initially wanted to do. Plus phones aren't renowned for being water resistant if you're out in our traditional British weather.
It's also great for timing your breaks between exercises at the gym.
If you're out jogging, it fits nicely in the palm of your hand and is easy to read.
This stopwatch has lots of features:
- Split timing - stopwatch can remember lap times.
- Accurate to 1/100th of a second up to 30 minutes, then it counts in 1 second intervals for longer races and events.
- Large screen size - main digits are about 12mm tall.
- Water resistant (don't go swimming with it!)
- It also functions as a regular watch - you can set the date and time together with an alarm.
- You can choose between a 12 and a 24 hour time display.
