When using the crackle glaze, you must follow the instructions on the bottle and use it ONLY with Docrafts acrylic paints.

1. BASE COAT - Paint the surface with a thick layer of Artiste acrylic paint in a contrasting colour to the intended top coat, for example black and leave to dry.

2. MIDDLE COAT - Apply a thick layer of Artiste Crackle Medium, painting up and down and then left to right over the layer of black acrylic paint, leave to dry

3. TOP COAT - Once the middle coat is dry, add your chosen top coat of colour of acrylic paint, such as a pale or contrasting colour, applying thickly in two directions. Drying with a heat tool is not essential, but it's likely to give a better effect and makes the cracks appear quicker.
