After World War One many changes in the uniform regulations occurred. One noteworthy change is the authorization of the enlisted Marines in wearing the EGA on the collar.

The wear and proper order for foreign decorations, the proper placement of the bronze campaign stars, the various shooting awards and badges, and most interesting is the use of numerals on the campaign medal badge ribbon drape.
