• This set of Gillette glasses is from the 1958 Kentucky Derby.
  • The pilsner glasses feature a black horse head surrounded by a golden horseshoe with the word "Winner" in gold above with "Gillette Golden Horseshoe Award 1958" below.
  • The information I could find said that many times companies offered different items as promotions or advertisements, so I believe that is the origin of these unique glasses.
  • They are in amazing shape for being 61 years old.
  • One glass has a 3mm scratch next to a small piece of missing black paint in the horse's neck. -- pic #9, above my thumb.
  • There is some wear in the gold paint on all glasses
  • Two glasses have a small black speck on the rim (not a chip, just a black speck of something)  -- pic #7 and 8
  • One glass has a flea bite in the bottom edge that isn't noticeable unless you are running your finger around the edge.
  • Other than that flea bite, there are no chips or cracks in any of the glasses.
These are an amazing collector's item.  I have found a few of these online, but not a full set of 6.  Don't miss out on this rare find!

*Please note that this is a large set and will require an oversized box to be packed securely and travel safely.  Postage is calculated by USPS/FedEx and is based on box size and shipping distance, making cost outside of my control.  Shipping will be higher.*
