If your vintage tube gear's grid/anode wires looks like the one in the last photo, They needs to be replaced. Dried out and cracked wires will cause arcing, inaccurate readings and even shock hazards. Old cap contacts are often corroded or no longer fit tubes snugly.  These are used in tube testers, HAM transmitters and a few vintage audio amplifiers.

This fully assembled, 9mm 18" replacement is for the Medium tube caps used on 807, 1625, 6146 and similar tubes. Wire is 18" long, 18AWG and rated at 20KV. I also sell small and large cap versions along with kits containing all three cap sizes in my store's "Test Equipment Vintage" Department. Free shipping on these items. Tube and tester shown in photos are not included in the offering.
