Anker-chronometer A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte B/Dresden No. 1045

The chronometer with lever escapement made ca. 1937/1938.

This kind of chronometers were made from ca. 1936 to 1942. The serial numbers started with 1000 (or maybe 1001) and reached 1440. So 440 lever chronometers were made (compared to 830 with chronometer escapement from 1886 to 1942).

The silver-plated dial with Roman numerals, brass hour and minute hands, signed A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte B / DRESDEN No. 1045.

Both subsidiaries hands are covered with blued steel. The escapement with steel spiral spring, jeweled mechanism, the cover plate with the stamp of A. Länge & Söhne Glashütte.

Each part is signed by the serial number 1045. The handles are missing..

This chronometer was tested by a watchmaker. It runs and keeps the time very well.
