Here is a one piece striker I turned from a nice piece of Kentucky grown Hickory. It is 7 3/4 inches long and has a mushroom tip 7/16 inch wide.

I turn these strikers one at a time using carefully selected woods. First for sound quality and then for unusual characteristics like type of wood, knots, worm holes, wood grain, etc. I use thin coats of polyurethane or lacquer to seal and protect the wood.

As with most wood strikers weather; humidity, and moisture will affect the sound quality. So keep your wood strikers as dry as possible. If the sound changes, clean the striker tip with fine sandpaper or a scotch bright pad.

Thank you so much for looking and bidding, best luck this spring.
