Brand new.

In 1957, the Soviet Union grabbed the attention of the world with the launch of the first artificial satellite, Sputnik. Not to be outdone by their Cold War rival, the United States established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1958. The contributions of 400,000 Americans led to the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo spaceflight programs, declaring victory in the "Space Race" with the first humans landing on the Moon on July 20th, 1969.

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 mission.

The Space Race limited edition series of Retro 51 Tornado pens are tributes to the three iconic rockets that helped put the first humans on the Moon. Each pen is crafted from solid stainless steel and silkscreened with graphics that evoke the original Mercury-Redstone, Gemini-Titan II, and Apollo-Saturn V rockets. Each design is limited to a total of 1958 numbered pieces of each design and packaged in a commemorative gift tube.
