With 24 large beautiful Color Plates illustrated by Lawson Wood, plus many illustrations within the text.

Published by Thomas Nelson and Sons, London.

A previous owner inscription on the front first end paper is dated 1948, although print year is believed to be mid 1930's.

Condition: This has wear---lower portion of spine is missing--see pic. There are several plates that have 2" or so tears. Some line illus. have been colored in by a child--on a few pages. Some spotting on covers and some pages inside. No dust jacket.
