It contains software that will resolve many common problems:

If your printer has unexpectedly stopped working, you're getting the warning "Parts inside your printer are nearing the end of their life" display lights are flashing etc. then chances are you have a software reset issue.
The R300 is programmed to stop working after a certain number of prints or cartridge changes, entailing a trip to your local Epson Service Centre which can be expensive. Most of the time the Print Protection Counter simply requires resetting, something this disc can do.

The Disc is compatible with all Windows Systems and features other useful options that will assist in the servicing of your trusty R300, R310, R320.
