We are downsizing and I am clearing my collection of Norman Rockwell cards, which I purchased around 1980

A reproduction greeting card & envelope.  Unused.

This card is the picture of a Hobo and his dog, cooking two sausages over a small open fire. He has his newspaper in his back pocket and the dog is leaning out towards the sausages. The title is "The Hobo".  The original of this picture was painted by Norman Rockwell for the October 18th 1924 edition of the The Saturday Evening Post.

From 1916-1965 Rockwell produced 316 original covers for the Saturday Evening Post.  He became the country's most beloved artist. Rockwell provided a lighter look at the sacrifices caused by the Great Crash of 1929 with this tongue in cheek illustration.

This card was printed under license in 1979 in the UK. It is unused and in good condition, considering it was produced 40 years ago. The inside of the card is blank.

It is ideal for framing.
