Brand new, unread copy of William A. Powell's "Middlesex County Cricket Club", published in 1999 by Alan Sutton, 160pp, ISBN 0750921382
These are SECONDS quality - there is a minor printing fault with all the copies we have, which is that there are tiny spots, or points, where the pages have stuck together. It usually affects a very very small area on a random page, and mostly on the edge, but you can sometimes find that it affects a picture of a panel of text (please note that we have not found any copies where there is any loss of text or readability). We separate any sticking pages before despatch but must caution customers that this sometimes leaves a small patch of roughened page surface. There are no creases or rips and as such, the books remain new (seconds) and unread.

About this book:
Middlesex County Cricket Club in Old Photographs chronicles the history of the club, its players, its personalities and surroundings from its early beginnings right up to the present day. Starting with the founding of the club in 1864, the author goes on to describe the 'golden' age of cricket and beyond. He details the development of Lord's Cricket Ground which was used by the County for the majority of its home matches -to the Lords we are familiar with today. Revealed to the reader amidst a super collection of nearly 300 historic photographs are Middlesex's cricketing greats - such names as the Walker family, the Hearnes, Warner, Allen, Compton, Edrich, Titmus, Brearley, Gatting and Ramprakash - whose combined performances have resulted in many trophies during the club's 134 history.

William A. Powell has been a member of the club since he saw his first match at Lord's in the 1970s. This is his 11th book on cricketing history and will undoubtedly bring great pleasure to cricket enthusiasts everywhere
