This auction is for an early 1900s oil painting on canvas of a colonial period scene of a mother and child near a fireplace with a cast iron pot cooking over the fire.  The mother seems to be working on a white dress while a cat lies on the floor in front of the fireplace.  There are lots of details in the painting.  The painting is signed “Ambrose Lee 1906”.  The oil painting is in very good condition with two small professional tear repairs and two tiny surface indentations.  Please let us know if you have any questions or need clarifications. Here are the measurements -
