The Kelly Pochette was Jean-Paul Gaultier's clutch interpretation of the classic Kelly bag. Introduced on the fall runway of his first collection for the House in 2004, the Kelly Pochette was an instant hit. This early example is rendered in sophisticated neutral Ficelle lizard, every scale of which glints like a polished jewel, held with the white stitching that is always paired with Ficelle, meaning String in French. This clutch has Ruthenium hardware, a deep silver similar to gunmetal, and found almost exclusively on Lizard bags from the mid 2000's. The Kelly Pochette is still produced today, though rarely in lizard, making this clutch subtle, but also very impressive.
