This is a heavy solid brass air-damped reproduction of a Mark III handheld British Prismatic Military Marching Compass.
This compass is fully functional but is not accurate.
The compass has a beautiful polished brass finish and the compass measures 2 3/8 inches (6.0 cm) in diameter, 1 1/4 inches (3.2 cm) thick, and weighs a very solid 9.8 ounces (278 grams).
