Silicone bending cord are designed to assist you in more efficiently and accurately bending or shaping your hard tubing. In order to bend rigid tubing without breaking it, you must use a heat gun to soften the tubing and make it flexible. While it is in its flexible state the walls are capable of collapsing in on themselves and ruining your tubing. Using a silicone insert will prevent the walls of the tubing from warping or collapsing during the heating and bending process.
The NEW High Temperature Barrow Bending Cords are made from high quality Silica Gel which has excellent high temperature heat resistance characteristics, high tensile strength, good flexibility and durability. The NEW High Temperature GJSGW models are available in 8mm, 10mm and 12mm diameters and can withstand temperatures up to 250 degree C. Each bending insert measures approximately 1M in length for use with most rigid tubing of it's size.
Using 3 different diameters corresponding to different tube
GJSGW-8 - 8mm for hard tube with internal diameter of 8mm
GJSGW-10 - 10mm for hard tube with internal diameter of 10mm
GJSGW-12- 12mm for hard tube with internal diameter of 12mm
Please note that silicone bending cord diameter is slightly less then the Hard Tube Internal diameter to allow for insertion into the tube for bending. This will not effect the bending of the hard tubing.
