The quartermasters corps was the crucial supply system supporting the US military in foreign lands.
Drum size 8" depth 16" diameter. The drum was crafted in the 1800's fashion featuring a thin 2 ply cross laminated shell. Sand cast nickle plated claw hooks. Solid 1 ply hoops. A very well preserved Red & Blue finish highlighted by the white of the rope and the 2 original calfskin heads. The drum is fully intact including the gut snare cords. One of the patented leather tensioners is missing. The rope is in exceptional condition.
