Riesige WMF Jugendstil Karaffe mit Metallmontur (versilbert?) und optionalen Eiseinsatz.
Laut meiner Recherche bedeutet die hier angebrachte WMF Straussenmarke, dass der Dekanter rund hundert Jahre alt ist. Denn diese spezielle Marke wurde lediglich bis 1925 verwendet. Ich lasse mich jedoch gerne eines Besseren belehren.
Umso erstaunlicher, dass die Karaffe die Zeit ziemlich unbeschadet überstanden hat.
Das Glas des Krugs, sowie das Glas des Kühleinsatzes sind frei von Chips, Rissen oder Sprüngen.
Auch an der Metallmontur, bei der ich mir nicht sicher bin ob sie teilweise versilbert ist, sind nur wenige Gebrauchspuren zu erkennen.
Anzumerken ist lediglich, dass die Dichtung im Deckel des herausnehmbaren Eiskühlers Risse aufweist, und sich kein Sieb in dem Einschub vor dem Entenschnabelausguss befindet.
Bis zum Deckelrand hat die Karaffe eine Höhe von rund 30 Zentimeter, dazu kommt noch der Daumensporn am Klappmechanismus.
Die Basis hat einen Durchmesser von 15,5 Zentimeter und verjüngt sich bis zum oberen Rand auf 11 Zentimeter.
Das Gesamtgewicht beträgt 2,6 KG !

According to my research, the attached WMF ostrich mark means that the decanter is around one hundred years old. Because this special brand was only used until 1925. However, I would likeyou to teach me a better one.
All the more surprising that the decanter has survived the time pretty unscathed.
The glass of the jug, as well as the glass of the cooling insert are free of chips, cracks or any seriuos damage..
Also on the metal mount, where I'm not sure if it is partially silvered, only a few signs of wear can be seen.
It should only be noted that the seal in the lid of the removable ice cooler has cracks and there is no sieve in the slot in front of the spout.
Up to the edge of the lid, the carafe has a height of about 30 centimeters, plus the thumb spur on the hinged mechanism.
The base has a diameter of 15.5 centimeters and tapers to the upper edge to 11 centimeters.
The total weight is 2.6 KG !
