antique color lithographed 1900 map of Duluth, Minnesota, printed
more than
120 years ago.
- The coverage area includes
the Lake Superior shoreline and the developed area of the city, which
at the time extended from Grassy Point and the St. Paul &
Duluth Railroad Bridge to the mouth of the Lester River.
- The map labels streets and railways, locates numerous
piers and wharves, and shows county roads and electric and horse-drawn
streetcar lines.

Among the specific named places and features on the map are Zenith
Park,
the Duluth & Iron Range Railroad, Bay View Boulevard, Grant
Avenue, Superior Street, St. Louis Bay,
the Northern Pacific Railroad Yards, Myers Park, Forest Hill Cemetery,
Minnesota Point Canal, Duluth Harbor, Cascade Square, and the electric
railway of the
Motor Line
Improvement Company.

Franklin Cram of Chicago in 1900. The image area measures 25.4 x 32.8
cm [10" x 12¾"].
