Striking armoire by luxury furniture maker Kindel. Inspired by early 19th century Russian Neoclassic pieces, with a rich amber-toned mahogany stain and high-gloss finish. The cornice has a pediment style top, with a beautifully cast solid brass mount in the center. A frieze of medallions runs from side to side under this, creating a strong architectural impression. Two doors, with beautifully grained mahogany panels over two raised diamond shapes, which have dramatic flame veneers and are edged in gilt. Retails in the $18,000 range in today's market.

The interior is flexible and useful. Adjustable shelves over two wide drawers create a substantial amount of storage. The piece also has a removable brass clothes rod at the top, which can be combined with the shelving, or used by itself depending on the length of the pieces hanging. There is also an interior power strip with three outlets mounted on the back panel, with a cable cord. The front feet are carved and ebonized paws with gilt accents. The two drawers are dovetailed hardwood.

In immaculate, near-mint to mint condition. Structurally perfect. No nicks, dings, or fading. There is one tiny repair on the raised piece of trim over the right-hand door that had a small piece of veneer re-glued, approximately .25" wide. Some very minor vacuum cleaner marks on the feet, too small to see or photograph. The doors and drawers open and close smoothly, and the doors latch properly. Non-smoking, no pet home. Please note that this is a heavy piece.
