Nymphaea Tiger Lotus Red Bulb x 3

Perfect for bettas to build nests under

Very easy to keep with rapid vigorous growth

You are buying 3 bulbs of this beautiful aquatic plant which may or may not already show growth

Nymphaea Tiger Lotus Red has beautiful red and brown spotted foliage and a red / pink flowering tropical water lily suitable for your home aquarium.

They will grow in both low and high levels of light and are hardy enough to be kept in a wide range of water conditions. They are tolerant of water between PH 6.5 and 8.

They can be allowed to develop surface leaves and will then flower as in the picture. Or they can be cut before reaching the surface to add an attractive splash of red foliage to your aquarium.

(photo shows sample plant which can be achieved within 1- 4 weeks of planting the bulbs)

How to plant:  Push the bulb gently into the substrate in your aquarium, with the bottom two thirds of the bulb in the substrate, and the top third sticking out.  DO NOT bury the bulb. The top is the more pointed end of the bulb.  Your bulb will soon establish.

We endeavour to send out our bulbs with new leaf growth, however this occasionally isnt possible.  If you are unsure which is the top of the bulb if you leave on the substrate in your aquarium until new shoots grow, you will then be able to succesfully plant your bulb.

(On rare occasions the bulbs may have white on them, please be assured that this IS NOT MOULD, but the remnants of the growing substrate that our suppliers use to grow the bulbs.)

Please read carefully:

·       These plants are rinsed and soaked but not guaranteed completely shrimp or snail free.  Soaking in a strong alkaline solution and then thoroughly rinsing before adding to the tank can resolve this

·       Plants are checked before sale and holding tanks are regularly treated but on very rare occasions an odd snail or eggs slip through – we advise checking your plants before adding to the aquarium

·       We only send out plants in a condition that we would be happy to have in our own tanks.

·       On the rare occasion an issue arises with the live plants arriving damaged, please contact us on the day of arrival.  We WILL require photographic evidence. If photos cannot be provided, then the item will need to be returned back to us.
