Remote programming for Camry

Programming New or Additional Remotes deactivates existing programmed Remotes. Therefore, existing remote transmitters must be reprogrammed when new or additional remotes are being programmed.

Key Removed from Ignition, Headlights off

Insert the key into the ignition switch and cycle from Off­ to On three times within 5 seconds, leaving the key in the on position - PROG will appear on the clock display

Press the button on the remote, the hazard lights will ‑ash once repeat the above step for any addition remotes, ensure PROG is still displayed on the clock

Remote programming for Avalon

Ensure Park/Headlights are turned on­ and not on auto

Insert key into ignition

Turn from OFF to ON 3 times leaving it in the ON position,the security LED will illuminate continuously for 5 seconds

While the security indicator is illuminated, press the button on the remote control, hazard lights will fl‑ash

Repeat the above step for any additional remotes (ensure the security indicator is still Illuminated)

Additional key programming procedure (Camry)

You must have at least 1 working black master key for this to work – it will not work with grey service key All doors must be closed when doing programming

1.      Insert the existing master key into ignition (leave in off position)

2.      Depress and release the accelerator 5 times

3.      Depress and release brake pedal 6 times then remove master key from ignition

4.      Insert new key into ignition lock leave in off position

5.      Depress and release the accelerator once – the Security light will blink

6.      Wait 60 seconds. The Security light with stop flashing

7.      Finished – if further keys are to be added repeat steps 4 to 6

8.      Finished .Wait at least 60 seconds before testing keys

Additional key programming procedure (Avalon)

1.      All doors closed no key in the ignition

2.      Wait for at least 60 seconds before doing anything

3.      Insert the existing master key into the ignition lock and turn to on position

4.      Turn it off and remove key

5.      Insert the new key to be programmed into the ignition lock and turn to on position

6.      Turn it off and remove key. If multiple new keys are to programmed repeats steps 5 and 6

7.      Open and close the drivers door

8.      Finished wait at least 60 seconds before testing keys
