Australian Shipping Information
We use a range of courier, such as Fastway, Australia Post, Sendle, Courier Please, Toll, etc... to fulfil all orders shipped within Australia. A signature is required upon delivery. Should you be unavailable at your provided shipping address, the courier will leave a delivery card and re-direct your parcel to the courier depot or a local parcel connect agent. If this happens, you will need to follow the instructions on the card to arrange re-delivery or collection. If you have any issues or are unsure how to do this, do not hesitate to contact us and we will assist you.For a prompt delivery, we recommend that all packages are sent to a company/business address, as this may avoid a need for re-delivery if no one is home when delivery is attempted.
Unfortunately, a lot of our products are too large to be shipped by Australia Post, so most of ourproducts cannot be shipped to PO Box addresses. In the instance that a change of address is required following dispatch, you will be charged an administrative fee to cover the additional charges incurred by the courier (we do not charge any administration fee, we only charge the excess charges from the courier companies). We use details provided on eBay (not PayPal), so please ensure that all of your details are correct prior to checkout. Australian Orders will be dispatched within 1-3 business days after payment and delivery should beexpected approximately 1-10 business days from the date of dispatch. In the event that your order has not arrived within 10 business days, please track your order with your unique tracking number and contact us for assistance, or alternatively you can contact the courier company directly. Delivery are usually made Monday to Friday, at the exception of public holidays.During special occasions, such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Christmas, etc... unforeseen delays that are out of our control, may be experienced. Tracking your order

Returns
For items who arrived damaged.
If your product is damaged upon delivery, contact us via the eBay messaging portal within 24 hours of delivery and we will replace your item immediately (providing the item is available, otherwise a replacement will be offered or a full refund). We will take full responsibility and endeavour to have this rectified as soon as possible.Please insure all claims for breakage are reported within 24 hours of receiving the item, no claims will be warranted after this time, as the courier insurance expires after this time. We also requireproof via image on email in order to submit an insurance claim for the damaged item.

We want you to love the products you buy from us. If you change your mind, you may return it to us within 30 days of the date you received it, no questions asked. If you would like to return your purchase please contact us via the eBay messaging portal.

SUPPLY OF PRODUCT

As we carry a large range of products and we sell our products on a number of platforms, it may be possible that from time to time we may be a little behind in updating ourinventory and the item you purchased may be out of stock. METAL & TIMBER PRODUCTS
Metal Items - Some items are constructed with metal (steel) and tin and timber.These itemsare not protected with anti-rust and/or timber protection treatment and if left unprotected will besubject to the natural forces which produce rust, timber rot. Chateau de Glass does not givewarranty against rusting or natural corrosion on any metal or timber items. Rusting of metal is a normal process and the time taken for natural rust to form on the item will depend on the conditions how the item is treated. We recommend coating your item with a clear protective product, such as Penetrol twice yearly, you can find this product from your local hardwarestore. Same with timber, if left untreated will be exposed to the natural elements.

VARIANCES TO HAND MADE AND NATURAL PRODUCTS
We sell a large range of products which are made using natural raw materials and hand painted, hand made, hand finished products. For this reason there may be some natural variances and slight imperfections between each piece. This is the beauty of a handmade, hand painted product & not considered flaws in the design. No refunds will be given to these variances. Every effort is made to ensure that the colour is consistent between each piece. However it is expected to have colour variances from piece to piece due to handmade items and natural products (such as variations in Timber and Stone/ Marble Products).

RUSTED FINISHED PRODUCTS
Each product has its own unique character and natural finish. The colour variations are part of the intentional design and being an organic process, it cannot be controlled. At the time of purchase, the item, you have ordered may be at a slightly different stage in the rusting process as item displayed in photo; if your item is not fully rusted, this process will get completed over time. Please note that harsh weather conditions may cause running. We disclaim all responsibility of damages that may have been as a result of rust development.
POWDER COATED PRODUCTS
The effects of UV light, pollution, dirt, grime and salt deposits can all accumulate on your powder coated surface over time. This will break down the finish and produce rust. To slow this down, a maintenance and cleaning program should be carried out. We recommend applying a protective product such as Penetrol on a regular basis, as recommended on the instructions.

Chateau de Glass accepts PayPal, Visa or MasterCard. Payment can also be made by direct deposit to our bank account. Orders paid for by direct deposit will not be processed until payment has been received. Please enter your order number in the transaction description. Orders placed on a weekend or a public holiday will not begin payment processing until the nextbusiness day. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays. Founded in 2017, Chteau de Glass is a family run business, based in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, Victoria, Australia. After working for years in the building industry, more particularly in the display home world, we wanted to create an online space where our customers would be able to find beautiful pieces to create their own special interiors. An online retailer of interior and exterior furniture and homewares, we work hard to provide consumers with a wide range of quality and stylish products to help them transform their house into a home. Our customer service team, which includes interior decorators, are here to help you on your home decorating journey, to ensure you have an enjoyable and inspiring experience. To make sure we are at our customers reach, we ship our products Australia wide and since May 2019, we are able to ship most products to New Zealand and our smaller products to the rest of the world as well.

Our story
The name Chteau de Glass is a mix of the French Chteau which means Castle and the English word Glass. My husband and I met in the South of France in 2000, so when we created this company, we wanted to find a name which would reflect both our cultures, but also our vision and the journey through which Chteau de Glass was born. The word Chteau was carefully selected because it represents beauty, elegance and luxury, all aspects we want to bring to our customers homes. It also has another strong meaning for our family, a castle is a difficult and lengthy foundation to build, one which sometimes requires sacrifices and hardship. In 2017, our lives were turned upside down, when we were announced that our oldest son, Bryan, was diagnosed with Leukaemia. In an instant, the life we knew had changed forever Leukaemia requires a very long, 3 years treatment. The first year being particularly intensive and requiring hospitalisation and/or daily visits to the hospital. With the demand of our sons treatment, we had to make the decision for me to leave my employment, to be able to care for him. During our long days in hospital and determined to be able to continue to support our family financially, I started to craft a business model for Chteau de Glass. Using the knowledge I had gained from my years working in the building industry and the contacts I acquired over these years, I started to mould the foundations of Chteau de Glass. What about the the word Glass? The word Glass was chosen because it instantly brings me back to my many visits to la Galerie de Glace at the Palace of Versailles, a magnificent Hall of Mirrors, the symbol of the great French palace, a long and bright room which welcomes in the sun from one side, disperses it to all corners and holds the twinkling light of magnificent chandeliers from its ceiling. Once again, this word was chosen to reflect beauty, light, warmth & luxury, all elements which we want to bring to your homes. We decided to add our twist to it and spell the word glace in English glass. To our family this word also represents light and new beginnings, butit also represents something which is thin and easily breakable, like our lovely life in 2017. It reminds us that things can change in an instant, this is why we should do what we love and enjoy what we love, with the ones we love. It is important to live in the moment and not look back and regret what we havent done!
