This is an older hand embroidered sample made by Fraefel Co. of St. Gall, Switzerland. A salesman would have traveled around with these samples. Fraefel Co. was a world class, high quality vestment maker around 100 years ago. Excellent quality workman ship on this beautiful fabric. The panels can be removed and applied to a vestment or cope for decoration. You could also have them framed to create a unique piece of artwork. The whole piece measures 25 1/2" x 16 1/2".
