Beautiful hand-carved candle holders with a twisted stem. These have an elephant design hand painted on the front and a tree on the back.  The price quoted is per pair. 

Due to the handmade nature sizes are approximate. Height of candlesticks is approximately 7 inches. Style and size may vary slightly from the photos.

The candlesticks are made from soapstone, a natural rock found in the village of Tabaka near Kisii, Kenya.

Most of the villagers make their living from these sculptures.

Polishing with wax polish helps to slow down the natural fading of the dyes used.
