Wow, historic page with the first ever continuity story page of STEVE LOMARD as cover (invisible man) and pg 1 (non continuity teaser page) are not part of the continuous inside story. Lombard was created in this issue in 1973 and is still an active DC character appearing in SUPERMAN series as a DAILY PLANET employee with LOIS LANE. He has made over 300 comic appearances. Killer inks by the great Murphy Anderson over Curt Swan original pencils. SUPER SWEET PAGE. Cover and color pages for reference only.

Steve Lombard first appeared in Superman #264 (June 1973) in a story written by Cary Bates and penciled by Curt Swan.[3] When editor Julius Schwartz suggested adding a sportscaster to Clark Kent's news broadcast, Bates decided to create a workplace adversary for Kent to contrast with Kent's friendly relationship with the other cast members, drawing partial inspiration from the character Ted Baxter of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Lombard's physical model was real-life football star Joe Namath.

Fantastic shape on 11x17 COMIC BOARD.
