I am a native Charlottean and landing an NBA team was a HUGE win for our city in the 80s. The newly-built Charlotte Coliseum (aka "The Hive") exploded with energy and fandom. As a kid I intentionally set aside and cautiously stored a few unique collectibles from the time including these founding team posters. Photo by Louis Shaffner in 1989.
