John Hill & Co Lead Zoo Animals series: Male Walking Lion,1930's pre war vintage.

Painted lead metal zoo animal figure from John Hill &Co, circa 1930's.

This is model Male Walking Lion and is approx 3.5 inches long.

Paint has minor wear, some chips but for age is very good and is still bright. Some micro pitting from original paint application.

There is a small casting hole under the chin, these are not faults but as a result of the hollow cast process.

Underside has visible makers mark, John Hill.
