Vintage fold-out 1946 Esso road map of New Jersey, printed more than 74 years ago.

  • This map opens to 33" x 15½" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.

  • There's an inset plan of Atlantic City in the lower corner.

  • On the reverse side there are inset plans of Trenton, Newark, the Camden-Philadelphia area, and the approaches to New York City.

  • The map was published by the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey to promote its Esso brand and is dated 1946 in the legend.

  • The cover artwork shows boats in the oyster fleet, along the shore of the Delaware River in southern New Jersey.

  • Condition:  This map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with a neat rubber-stamp imprint on the rear cover from an Esso gas station in Waterville, Pennsylvania and no rips, tears, or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
