For your consideration,  a very clean vintage Cabbage Patch cassette player.  When cassette is put on play the motor comes on but the wheels do not turn.  You can hear the motor running.  Probably an electrical short of some sort.  There is no battery cover.  Item has been gently cleaned but may have scratches or dirt on it
