Up for bid is a hollow handle youth knife in the scarce DAUPHINE pattern by Wallace, introduced in 1916. The knife is 7 1/2 inches long, with a hollow sterling handle and a silverplated carbon steel blade. The piece has not been monogrammed. The handle is marked "STERLING" at the joint.
Condition on the piece is fairly good. The blade edge has a small ding near the tip. There is minor wear-through around the edges of the blade. The handle has heavy wear but no real dents. A decent place piece in a scarce pattern!
