The original of this tapestry was designed by Lebrun, the first painter of King Louis XIV, and was woven by at the Gobelin manufactory.  It represets King Louis XIV's victory over the Spanish in Flanders 1667.  It was part of a set of 14 tapestries, and this one being specifically called "Canal de Bruges" is hanging at Versailles Palace.  It depicts King Louis XIV with the Prince of Condé and the Marquis of Crequy, and in the background shows the French army crossing the River Bruges before it defeated the Spanish Army.
