Applications

This 175g satin weave Kevlar cloth can be used on its own or in conjunction with other reinforcement fabrics (such as carbon fibre) to achieve a very strong and impact resilient composite. It provides very high resistance to impact and abrasion and is much more resilient to fracture separation than other reinforcements (including carbon fibre).

Satin weave Kevlar cloth can be laminated in just the same way as carbon fibre. It is suitable for use in wet-lay, vacuum bagging or resin infusion. Due to its high strength to weight ratio Kevlar is used in a wide range of applications from the aero and motor sports industries to canoes/kayaks to body armour, where strength and impact/abrasion resistance is critical.

A3 size is ideal for smaller projects, when quantities sold by the linear metre are surplus to requirements.
