Es handelt sich um eine überaus seltene, originale, altkolorierte Kupferstich-Landkarte des ungarischen Kartographen Ézsaiás (Isaiah) Budai (1766 – 1841) aus dem Jahr 1804.

• Bemerkungen: Diese äußerst seltene, altkolorierte Kupferstichkarte wurde 1804 in Debrecen von dem Geographen und Gelehrten Ézsaiás (Isaiah) Budai (1766 – 1841) im "Oskolai Magyar Uj Atlas" ("Neuer ungarischer Schulatlas") veröffentlicht. Sie basiert zum Teil auf französischen Vorbildern und weist einige erstmals verwendete ungarische Übersetzungen für internationale Gebiete auf.
  

This scarce copper engraved map in original colours was published in 1804 by the Hungarian geographer and scholar Ézsaiás (Isaiah) Budai (1766 – 1841) for the "Oskolai Magyar Uj Atlas" (Hungarian new school atlas). It's partly based on french maps of the time and is one of the first maps to establish standardised Magyar-language geography. The map measures ca. 41 x 32 cm (platesize) and is in good to fair condition with some light browning / soiling due to age.
