The woodworking saws I sell are grouped by direction and speed or fineness of cut. If you are buying a woodworking saw these are very important considerations. Just in case you are new to woodworking, the last picture in the gallery shows the 3 different types of cut: rip, cross and slant.

A crosscut saw is designed for cutting across the grain of the timber, will be OK on slant cuts and will struggle with rip cuts. A ripsaw is great for cutting with the grain, but very poor in the other directions. Universal blades are designed to cope with all 3 types of cut, but do not do quite as well as the specialist blades.

This listing is for the H-250 crosscut blade, which will fit a range of handles. It is normally supplied with the traditional wooden handle shown in the main picture but will also fit the 300mm aluminium handles (black, blue or red), the short straight handle or the 146mm hook-style pistol grip.  All the handles are shown in the image gallery. Please ensure you select the correct handle choice at the top of the page before committing to buy.

Designed for precise, intricate cutting, this is the finest of the crosscut blades in my eBay shop.

Pitch 1.4mm (18 TPI) blade length 250 mm, thickness 0.5 mm, kerf 0.66

If you are looking for a coarser, faster-cutting, blade I also have the H-265 Crosscut and H-265 Convex Crosscut blades.

Please note that this is a multiple-choice listing. All the saws I sell have replaceable blades, so are available with a handle or as replacement blade only. If you do not make a selection in the drop-down box at the top of this listing, eBay will assume you want the cheapest option which is normally just a replacement blade.
