Up for Sale we have a Antique 1880s 1890 Hand Carved 38” Wood Baseball Bat 41oz Huge War Club Folk Art. Incredible early bat shows lots of use and age , bat barrel end has some missing wood and has rounded awkwardly from said wood loss , the handle remains Uncracked after all these years as well , knob end is crudely carved with a painted end . Bat measures roughly 38” and weighs a whopping 41oz . No major warping, breaks, some mild grain separation near barrel end , see all photos for condition. Bat in first photo is 34” and not included in the sale and is just for size reference . There is no markings on the bat, and I am unsure of the type of wood used . Bat has characteristics of a Town ball bat with a long medium size handle that follows suit into the barrel .
