Drysuit Repair - Heat Activated Tape

  • NEW - No Packaging
  • This is suggested for the main body fabric
  • Bulk Stock to reduce environmental impact and keep the price ultra-low - ships in a plain package
  • If you buy more than one, you will get a single strip matching the number of feet you are buying (Example: Quantity 4 gets you a single 4-foot length, not 4 1-foot lengths)
  • If you're like me, the Drysuit is the most expensive suit you've ever bought... that said, please order enough you can spare a few inches to hone your iron setting and skills on some practice material before attempting your repair.
  • Consult your Drysuit manufacturer for details about which parts of the suit can handle varying temperatures and beware that household irons don't typically have defined settings (low<high isn't exactly quantifiable) even artist tacking irons and construction heat guns generally lack fine tuning. Practice. If you're not sure, don't do it. Take your suit to a shop or ask your manufacturer about how to arrange for repairs.
  • YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR USING THIS WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT. Look, this is a buck, do you really think I'll be taking responsibility for thousands of dollars worth of drysuits to make a few cents? I do make some profit, so it's not quite like a common-adventure here, but really you are buying this because you are willing to take matters into your own hands. I do wish you the best of luck and hope that by offering this tape it enables you to make an inexpensive repair quickly and you don't miss a single weekend of winter paddling. I DO suggest you test your repair on a local pond, it would really suck for everyone if you discover a mistake in your repair in the middle of a Class V Cold River Spring-melt run. Got it? Sorry. Gotta do the "It's not my fault if you screw it up" routine. You get it. Thanks.
