This hand carved photo frame provides space for a photograph 5 inches high x 3.5 inches wide. The actual visible area is 4.75 x 3.25 inches.   Each one  is intricately carved to show an array of African animals in the forest, the variety of the animals varies from one frame to another.  Styles will vary a little from piece to piece.  As they are all carved by hand this represents hours of work by a skilled artisan.  The stand for the frame is also carved  from wood. Available either plain or engraved.  Hakuna Matata, made famous by Disney's The Lion King, means no worries. Karibu Africa translates as Welcome to Africa or Greetings from Africa. All our wooden products are hand carved by the Kamba people of Eastern Kenya using basic hand tools. The grain of the wood as well as the original timber used can influence the details of the carving.
