Up for bid is an antique Chinese carved red cinnabar lacquer & copper pendant necklace.  The necklace is a bit over 18 inches long, and the fixed oval pendant is about 2 1/8 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide.  The pendant has a central section of floral carved red lacquer with a fancy applied metal filigree edge.  The back is copper.  The chain is base metal.  The pendant is marked [CHINA] as shown.  <P>

Condition on the necklace is fairly good.  The metal parts are darkened and tarnished, and the surface of the chain is worn, but the lacquer is in nice shape.  A fine old piece of Chinese jewelry!<P>
