From the family, Amaryllidaceae, having common name(s) associated with the genus; Spider Lily, Surprise Lily, Hurricane Lily, Resurrection Lily, Magic Lily, Naked Ladies.
One of the spring foliage hardier Lycoris, and often mistaken for Amaryllis belladonna, which is only hardy in zone 7 and warmer. Blooms in late July. The most well-known and often grown of the hardier species with pink to mauve trumpeted flowers. Ht. 24-36 inches. Hardy in zones 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
