You have probably already seen or heard about the MXR Dyna Comp. It’s a good pedal and is used by many professional musicians. There are a few obsessive compulsive tone addicts out there (like me) who have noticed a few issues:

It’s a little on the harsh side. It could use a little more clarity. It lacks fullness and warmth. This pedal suffers from low end roll off...maybe that's the way they wanted it, but I like my low end. 

Our modifications address these issues, but we don’t stop there. We also modify our Dyna Comps to Ross compressor specs. The Ross compressor is one of the best sounding compressors…ever! It is actually a modified Dyna Comp. You may find one here on eBay for $300 to $400.

Or get this one that has the mods listed above plus the Ross mod. There's lots of info on the net about Dyna Comp and the Ross mod, just google it.

But wait a minute…did you notice?

There are many musicians who really like the sound of the Dyna Comp. But many of these musicians end up compromising their sound by choosing a different pedal that also has a tone control.

So I’m not sure how long these will be here (we sell these pedals locally also), but here you go! 

We added the "Griffin Effects Dyna Comp Tone Control" to this modified Dyna Comp. If you want something unique...well where else have you seen a Ross modded Dyna Comp with a tone control?

We also replaced the stock LED with a clear to bright blue LED.

There is a brief video clip of one of our modified Dyna Comps. But remember, the one we are selling now has the added tone control.

But wait a minute...You are are not seriously listening to the video clip through those tiny speakers in your computer, laptop, tablet, or cell phone, are you? If you are serious about looking for pedals with good tone, I just can not stress this enough...USE YOUR HEADPHONES!

Hey Mike! Well, I was able to put the dyna comp through its paces this weekend and all I can

say is: 1) Wow!, and 2) Thanks man!

It is really almost a different animal. It still has the "inherent" dyna comp feel/squish but

it's a heck of a lot smoother/less grainy and tons more bass (and it's quieter to boot.)
