BLIND SELF-TAPPING HEAVY DUTY THREADED INSERTS - Specialist Marine Fasteners

A different version of our Blind Inserts with a slightly larger external diameter and longer length. Manufactured in brass.

Designed to give more surface area of thread and greater 'pull out' resistance. There are 3 deep 'V' shaped flutes running the full length of the thread. This feature is added with bonding in mind, to give space for resin or glue to harden in the V flutes and further increase the hold strength of the insert. It also assists with the cutting action of the thread on insertion.

The insert head is chamfered at 45 degrees to match a countersink and enable flush fitting and a watertight seal.
