Romance  ♥  ♥ is timeless!
     Wonderfully preserved, pair of French commedia, ("Harlequin, Columbine"), tiny antique bisque head, "Pierrot and Pierrette", boudoir dresser dolls each measuring about 5" tall. Both figures have wire armature bodies with thin arms and legs and wire feet that are attached to small wooden stands and bent to assume any position.  They each have dome heads with finely threaded, red and light brown hair and exquisitely painted tiny features. One wears two-piece, off white gossamer silk, clown-like pajama suit & cap with applied red dots and the other wears a gossamer dance outfit with aqua & black tulle, bodice, silk thread stockings, laced ballet slippers. They were probably designed to decorate a dresser or boudoir, circa 1930 and are extremely hard to find, especially in a matching pair. They are in excellent, all original condition, clean and without any damages or repairs, no repaint, no stains, holes or fading and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. Other boudoir dolls and larger "Pierrot" clown are not included and each listed separately.
