Bwami initiation Figure from the LEGA tribe from Congo. 

The life of the Lega (Warega) is regulated through the Bwami, to which both men and women belong. There are seven levels for men and four levels for women. These Figures were used for initiation to the first two levels of the Bwami society.

This figure has 2 heads. Very nice with beautiful nice brown and white kaolin patina. The arms of the figure are movable up and down like a marjonet.
